Things do not change. We change.
Commercial & E-Gaming Clients
After being at Computacenter for 10 months, I was given the opportunity to join the new Commercial and E-Gaming team. With a focus on a key set of accounts, I am being tasked with supplying an exceptional level of service to help nurture and grow my clients.
I have now been in the role for nearly 2 months and as I approach the anniversary of joining Computacenter I am thoroughly enjoying myself. The role presents new challenges and new opportunities on a daily basis. Ultimately, it is allowing me to develop on new levels.
I now firmly have my sights set on Account Management and it has become my primary goal to accomplish within the next 12 months.
He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.
I have recently added more information to my Linkedin profile outlining just a few of the elements of my current, daily working life. Feel free to visit my page by clicking here or have a read of the extract below:

I have decided to migrate my blog to the tumblr social blogging framework. The reasons behind this are simply to try and make the blogging process simpler and, as a result, hopefully increase how frequently I write.
I like to think that the new theme is slicker, cleaner and generally a little more professional looking. Anyway, if you feel inclined to do so, please let me know your thoughts.
I am planning to give an update on my role at CC (now 2 months in) very soon so keep an eye out.
Moving to CC
Having had a wonderful time at Bright Technology, I have decided to move on and will be joining Computacenter as of Tuesday 8th May.
I would like to thank the team at Bright for giving me a great opportunity - especially at a time when I was looking for some direction and guidance in my life. I have learnt a lot from my roles and various responsibilities within the company and I wish them all the best.
I am joining a Sales Support team of approximately 14 individuals and cannot wait to get started as soon as possible.
So in a nutshell: thank you and farewell to Bright; hello Computacenter, see you on Tuesday.
I will be updating my Professional Experience page, to reflect this new change, as soon as I have a few more details.
I have been with Bright for almost 5 months now (Sept 2011 to Present) and have had the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience across the Sales spectrum.
My role initially began in Sales Support, with my responsibilities lying in keeping the Sales team working as best as possible. This not only meant fielding the initial Sales calls, but also organising the Sales team and drafting prospective proposals and contracts. I was able to join the team on a number of client-facing meetings and, ultimately, it was a fantastic position to get an oversight of the company’s approach to Sales.
Then towards the end of October the Sales Manager, responsible for generating new business Sales, left the company to pursue other opportunities. With a gap in the team I put forward myself to take on the position of IT Sales Associate and I have not looked back since. I have embraced the position, using the knowledge I gained from supporting and shadowing the team, as well as applying my own principles to my work.
For more details on my role and my milestones thus far, please refer to my Previous Experience page.
I am happy to announce that I have accepted a role at Bright Technology. They are a fantastic bunch of people with a fresh company approaching IT from an innovative perspective. I cannot wait to get started.
As such, I will soon begin as a Frontline Technology Speciliast and will therefore not be looking for a new role.
Thank you to all the companies I interviewed with and the recruiters for bringing these exciting new roles to me.
Onwards and upwards.
Interviews and Sales
I just wanted to post a quick update on my situation so far.
I have had a number of interviews across a number of companies ranging from Brand Specialists, to IT Services and IT Sales. I have also lined up a number of interviews for next week (beginning August 29th) so I am currently unavailable on the:
30th of August and 2nd of September.
I also wanted to clear up my standpoint on IT Sales roles. I am not primarily focused on an IT Support role, because I cannot ignore the fact that my experience to date would be a good suit for a role in IT Sales. Therefore I am considering those roles, although I will only consider exceptional roles with a good starting salary and allow for a large scope of personal and professional growth. Needless to say, if you have any IT Support or IT Sales roles available, please get in touch.
